What is included in the GDU Tune-Up?

We at Garage Doors Unlimited do a complete 24 point safety inspection.

The inspection includes, but is not limited to the following:

  • Hinges and hinge arms for wear
  • Drums
  • Center bearing
  • End bearing plates
  • Manual release handle
  • Bottom weather seal
  • Strut and truss rod
  • Each section checked for damage
  • Boom and trolley
  • Bellwire
  • Motor and gear
  • Safety reverse
  • Shaft
  • Cables for fraying or slack


  • Tighten all bolts and nuts
  • All moving parts are lubricated
  • All openers, remotes, control panel, and key less entry are tested
  • Door balanced
  • Photo eyes tested
