Windows & Appetizers

San Diego has NO shortage of delicious places to eat! If you love to get a tasty meal, GDU has some suggestions. We have also had the pleasure of doing the gorgeous windows for each of the spots I’m about to mention!

Bootleggers is a really nice spot over on Market St. in downtown San Diego. This spot is a little further uptown and has the advantage of being further away from the heavy bustle of the down town area. The decor is beautiful. Check out their dining area complete with GDU windows.

I suggest their smoked gouda mac paired with the Broken Butterfly cocktail and you cannot go wrong. Pricing is about $-$$ if we are using the Yelp scale.

Barley Mash is in the heart of downtown San Diego! This is a great landmark if you are walking down this stretch of the Gaslamp.

I recommend the Mussells N’ Clams paired with a Red Sangria and you are set! Their patio area seen above is a great spot for people watching.

Bub’s at the Beach in Pacific Beach is a perfect slice of the San Diego beach scene. A community that draws the young and the young at heart.

I LOVE their brunch! Personal fave is Cinnamon Swirl French Toast and the Hangover Special Burrito is also a fan favorite! I love the Michelada which is like a Bloody Mary, but substitute the vodka for beer, then voila. perfect.

Uptown Tavern in Hillcrest is a great place to start crawling through this amazing neighborhood.
One word: Curry Tots delicious tater tots covered in curry! Grab a Gin and Tonic and let happiness continue.
